AFFORDABLE ATHLEISURE WEAR!

Monday, December 21, 2020

Happy Monday friends!

I am so looking forward to some days off to spend with Julian!

I didn't realize that they're on break for a little over 2 weeks! I think back in my day it was like a week and half or something....which that has been a long long time so I could also be totally wrong lol

Anywho, I've been on the hunt for some new workout/athelisure wear, Walmart really has some great stuff so I ended up going there first.

I fell in love with this first outfit! This (available here) pullover is so dang flattering! The inside is more of a warmer material, perfect to throw on after a workout! This leggings (available here) are perfection! They hug you in all the right places!

This second outfit is something I would wear to run errands! These leggings (available here) have a softer material in the inside which keep you warm, I personally wouldn't wear them to workout. If you've been looking for a quilt vest, snag this (available here) one up! So affordable and the fit is amazing!

And lastly this outfit! I think we can all agree this outfit screams, COZY! This tunic (available here) is so soft! Love the oversized fit of it! These ribbed sweatpants are (available here)  IT y'all! I love the rib detail one them!

I hope you guys enjoyed this try on! I can't wait to share more!

But here we are again lol Our Thanksgiving was great! A bit different but all is well!

I stopped by Walmart the other day and like always found some really good finds!

I usually head to Walmart on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and I feel like I snag good pieces during those days.

First off, I HAVE to share these leggings with y'all! O.M.G so dang good! They are a 7/8 length so perfect for all my petite girls out there! The waist band is perfect to suck you right in! I mean they are just a great affordable legging!

I came home with this camo pullover & this white long sleeve! Great basic pieces, and that pull over is the softest thing ever! Oh yeah and of this olive cardigan!

I actually passed on the leopard shawl, CRAZY I know! I felt like it was a bit much, BUT I'm about to order it online because after much consideration, I feel like it belongs in my closet! lol

Happy Wednesday friends!

And once again long time no see! I'm beginning to say that waaay to much around here!

Life has been crazy lately, I think for all of us it has! So much "new normal", it's kinda hard to get use too!

But life must go on...lol that was way too cheesy sorry!

I headed into Walmart the other day and to my surprise the fitting rooms were back open! I know so freaking excited! I love love doing fitting room try ons, I feel like it helps you guys out to see how something actually fits!

Of course I grabbed some items and headed straight in. I found these sweaters all under $20!

First off this one OMG! The color is to die for! I could only find it in a plus size, but check in store, I'm sure they have it. This is definitely the perfect & basic Fall sweater.

This next one, I love the color & fit, also super soft and perfect for a casual day! I did size up to a medium on this one.

I am definitely ordering this one online! It's so cozy & I love that it has a mockneck. I don't like turtle necks bc I feel like they're suffocating me haha

Okay this pullover is cozy BUT I'm wearing a small and it fits pretty big!

And lastly HOW PERFECT is this sweater for Christmas!

FITNESS & LIFESTYLE FAVORITES (SEPTEMBER)

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Happy Wednesday friends!

I haven't done a fitness related post in so long, so it was about time!

I have a few items I wanted to share that are my go-to favorites! These are things that I"m currently loving too!

Okay so starting off with this water bottle (available here) I picked it up at target, and it was on sale for $10! I keeps my water cold for a full 8 hours! I was pretty impressed with it and it also comes in a couple of other colors and patterns!

I love bringing my lunch to work, I know I know, weird right! ha But really, it makes me feel so idk accomplished and healthy . This lunch bag (available here) is one of my favorites! Also comes in a few other patterns. This one came with 6 smaller containers which is always a plus! It's so spacious and I can literally pack my breakfast, lunch & snacks in it.

Y'all have heard me talk about these shorts (available here) before, they're currently in stock. I wear this to workout, lounge around, and run errands! I wear a size small and they fit great! I have them in black, grey & lavender! Perfect staple item!

These two items, I literally cannot live without. These bands (available here) come in a pack of 4 and under $20! I shared a workout using just a band, you can check it out here. I'm not kidding when I tell you I use them every single day. Also these
Celsius drinks (available here) are so dang good! I use them more as a pre workout type of thing and it works great for me! My favorite flavor is watermelon and the orange! If you try them out let me know how you like them!

I picked these shorts (available here)up at Burkes Outlet! I heard this brand is so good, and they were not lying! They fit like a freaking glove!

And finally, the item I get asked about majority of the time, what sports bras do I use? These are it girlfriend! They're the Avia brand from Walmart! They range from $10-$12! I wear my true size! Now I will tell you, if you have more to work with up there, these may not be for you lol I'm a 34b and they fit me great but I personally feel like I don't have much to work with lol

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! If you try any of the items I shared let me know! Thank you guys for always supporting me, and for continuing to support my blog!

I know what you're thinking it's too soon for Fall! But I just can't help myself! I love Fall! But I don't love pumpkin spice anything haha

I put together this outfit that is perfect for Fall! If you live in Texas this is also great because let's be honest, it doesn't really cool down till about November lol

When I first laid eyes on this baby doll top I was in love (available here). I'm wearing a small and I absolutely love the loose fit of it, it also comes in several other colors too! You can shop all the Pink Lily things HERE

My wedges are a couple of years old but you can find a similar pair here

"OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!"-DR. SEUSS

Wednesday, August 19, 2020

Happy Wednesday friends!

I am sitting at the kitchen table drinking some coffee & eating a breakfast sandwich. Julian starts kindergarten and my emotions all over the place.

I don't know where the post will go, but I have things to say and my guts to spill so here we go...

So last night I was laying in bed with my boy and wow, I just can't believe he is off to kindergarten, I mean really, where did the time go? I still remember the first time I laid eyes on that sweet face, that's a different kind of love. The first time he said "mama", his first steps, his first cuss word (haha). As a mom, I think I can speak for all of us, why can't we just keep them in a bubble!! Protect them from all the evil, all the heart breaks, everything.

Another thought that went thru my mind was, isn't so, idk crazy? ironic?, fascinating? that when we were younger our parents really did do their absolute best to give us a better life than they had. They struggled but always found a way, and we're doing the exact same thing. Like when you had kids you probably told yourself "oh I'm never going to let my kids go through that", but each generation is going to have their fair share of struggles & tragedies.

I shared this on my personal FB page, but we were so grateful to be able to buy all of Julian's school supplies. When my husband and I started kindergarten, I think we were sent to school with one pencil and a notebook, because that's all our parents could afford.

I don't ever hold a grudge but there were times I wished my parents were involved in my school more, but for obvious reasons they couldn't. Again, I am feel so dang grateful that I can do that for Julian. That there is no language barrier, that I can be at his school programs, games, all those things.

Although, I want to cry and just wish my baby would stay a baby, I feel proud. He really is such a wonderful little boy. His manners (sometimes) are out of this world. He has such a big and kind heart and I know he is going to be great!

Told you I didn't know where this post would go, I mean clearly my emotions all over the place lol

I hope you enjoyed this quick coffee talk, thank you guys for continuing to support my blog! It truly means the world!

Happy Friday friends!

Hello, hello!

It is finally Friday and let me tell ya it definitely feels like a Monday! haha Work has been pretty busy but I love the rush!

Today I'm bringing you guys a SUPER affordable outfit! This whole is outfit is right under $50!

I bought this top (available here) at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and OMG it's so soft! I love the it's a bit on the longer side so you can definitely wear it with leggings if you'd like! It also comes in a few other colors and it's true to size.

Listen!!! I needed a good & affordable pair of white jeans and these are it! Only $20 and the fit is so good. I don't like buying white jeans that are a bit on the pricier side because, well I get them dirty so so fast! lol These are from the Sofia Vergara collection at Walmart, and I'm definitely going to buy another pair.

My mules are from Justfab, you guys know Justfab is my jam! I scored these on sale for $15! We love a good sale around here!

I'm so unsure of what to do, part of me wants to send him but the other part doesn't! I feel like whatever we decide to do, we're going to be judged.

I can't wait for this season of life to get better! Anyone else?

CURRENT BEAUTY FAVES! + NEW FAVORITE FOUNDATION!

Tuesday, July 7, 2020

Happy Tuesday girlfriends!

I hope you all had a wonderful day!

Today I'm quickly sharing some of my current beauty favorites! These products have been my go to!

I hope you all enjoy!

TULA SUNSCREEN: So I purchased this with the Tula X Whitney Simmons kit,  and it has easily become my favorite face product! I use it every morning after I wash & moisturize my face. It protects my skin from the sun, and gives me such a nice glow without looking greasy lol. It does have a slight sunscreen smell but nothing over powering. If you're needing something to just throw on in the mornings to give you a glow and even out your skin tone this is the product!

TULA MILK CLEANSER: Another new item that I've been loving! This is also part of my morning skincare routine! I wash my face with this cleanser, and it leaves my face so soft! Literally like a baby's bum! I've also noticed my skin has been looking so much better with this cleanser + sunscreen!

TULA PRIMER:  Also part of my skincare, I haven't worn this with makeup, I've only used it on its own, AND GIRL let me tell ya! You'd think I have zero pores! LOVE LOVE this stuff!

THAYERS TONER:  I finally got my hands on this toner! SO affordable ($10) and SO dang good! I had a couple of "scars" on my forehead from where I picked at a couple of pimples (don't judge lol) and I'm not kidding you, after I used this toner a couple of times, those scars were noticeably lighter! THIS IS A MUST HAVE, if you're looking to add a toner to your skincare routine!

JUVIA'S PLACE FOUNDATION:  OMG this foundation y'all!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about it! The shade range is PHENOMENAL! The coverage is even better! You only need a small amount, it is a bit thick but again you really don't need too much product! I've been wearing it in 95 degree weather and it did not move!

JUVIA'S PLACE CONCEALER:  The concealer is just as good as the foundation! So creamy, full coverage, and hydrating! I have literally fallen in love with Juvia's place products!

BH COSMETICS HIGHLIGHT & BLUSH PALETTE:  If you're similar to my skin tone or more on the deep side, do yourself a favor and get this palette! This palette is soo just rich and beautiful! The colors pair well with my skin tone and it has been my go to palette the last couple of weeks! And so affordable!

COLOUR POP NUDE EYESHADOW PALETTE: Okay, so if you know me, you know when it comes to eyeshadow I stick to my neutrals, bronze and golds! lol Sister cannot work with colors, my blending is not all there! THIS palette is perfection! It has the perfect colors to create a simple go to look & for more glam too!

CHIC & CLASSIC SPRING OUTFIT

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

Happy Wednesday friends!

It's been a slow day today and I am grateful!

Incase you missed it! This mama has a new job! Feeling so thankful and feels great to be able to help out!

So I'm on my lunch break and have to make this quick lol But I wanted to share this outfit with y'all because it's such a classic spring look and everything is, of course, affordable!

I love love how chic this top (available here) is! Back in the day I use to be obsessed with peplum and I'm right back at it lol It would also be so gorgeous pair with some denim or white shorts!

Okay so these jeans (available here) are so flattering! I was out taking these photos and ripped a small little hole in mine, but nothing that can't be fixed! I was in a rush and just yanked them on so yeah...oops lol Anyway they're from the Sofia Vergara collection from Walmart! This is my first pair from here and definitely won't be the last!

I hope you guys have a wonderful day!

MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS

Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Happy Tuesday friends!

I quickly wanted to share some great gift ideas for Mother's Day!

- MEMORY FOAM SNEAKERS ($20): If you or your mom work long hours and are always on your feet, these sneakers are not only so cute but so comfortable!

- HANDWRITING BRACELET ($42): I love love how unique this bracelet is! You can have your little one write their name and then upload the picture and it will be printed on this bracelet!

-MONOGRAMMED HANDBAG ($50): I bought this for myself, and I loved it! It's super spacious so could also be used as a diaper bag!

-PERSONALIZED APRON ($21): My mom LOVES to wear aprons, especially when she makes tamales so this is PERFECT for her! There's a space where you can type what you want the apron to say, so if your mom or grandma doesn't speak English you can write something in Spanish, which I think makes this even more special!

-YETI RAMBLER/MUG ($24)- If you know of a new mom or soon to be mom GET THEM THIS! I think we can all agree it would be nice to drink hot coffee lol and as a mom it's not always like that!

-PHOTO CUP ($10): You literally cannot go wrong with this gift!

-PERSONALIZED SMALL COOLER ($35): My mom works long hours and she always packs her lunch, I love the size of this one and how spacious it is!

SNAKE PRINT KIMONO OOTD + WHAT'S NEXT AFTER QUARANTINE?

Wednesday, April 22, 2020

OUTFIT DETAILS [ Snake print kimono *available here*, Ribbed bodysuit (sold out) other options *available here* & *here*, High rise jeans *available here*, Similar nude heels *available here*]

Happy Wednesday friends!

I have been dying to share this outfit with you guys! I feel like I say that every time I publish an outfit post lol But seriously this one is good!

This is definitely going to be the outfit I wear on our first post quarantine outing! Because we all have our outfits ready right? ha

This kimono (available here) is so dang good & under $15! Insane, you can use the link I provided to see if it's in stock at Walmart near you. I know most of us aren't going out only for essentials so I'm also linking a similar one HERE & HERE. Also linking two other options for this ribbed bodysuit. Mine is sold out but these two have amazing reviews are, of course, affordable.

I've mentioned these jeans (available here) before but I got them when I was in NC and love love them. They are super high rise so mom friendly. I should have sized down one because they sit right at my waist. But aside from that, they are phenomenal and flattering!

Seriously so obsessed with this outfit! I hope you guys enjoy it!

-
-

Okay so as bad as this may sound I try to stay away from watching the news because it is just so dang depressing! But I think some states are talking about reopening soon, and I have mixed emotions about this, which we are not going to get into. But I did want to share my thoughts on one thing. What's next after quarantine? I can only speak for myself but before all this happened, my life was a hot mess, I was a hot mess. I felt like this time that I've been at home, I had time to think about what I wanted in my life, and for my son. I realized there is so so much that I want to do still. With all the uncertainty that surrounds us, I kept thinking what if "it was my time to go", "what if I get the virus & I don't make it?". I know those thoughts are dark but it was what I was thinking. I kept thinking if you die bc of this virus, would you die happy? Would you be okay knowing that you didn't live your life like you wanted? Would you be at ease knowing you didn't do all the things you wanted to do? All the places you wanted to travel but didn't?

I mean just so many thoughts were going through my head. And I realized, that WOW, I have not "lived". I have things on my bucket list, that have been sitting there for years and I haven't made the EFFORT to cross any of them off. I've just settled.

So I can really say this quarantine did me good, it did my mind & soul good. Don't get me wrong I was going a little crazy there for a minute but overall, just slowing down in life and realizing what I want in life has turned the "switch" for me! It's a beautiful thing really! So to answer the question...what's next after quarantine? I hope and pray that this world is a much better place. I hope and pray that I accomplish all the things that I set my mind to. I hope and pray that I am able to travel with the people I love. I will no longer take the "little things" for granted, ever. I will enjoy every second with my family. I will try my best to never complain about a packed restaurant, or a long line at the store. I will never take for granted a Sunday at church, and finally I will remember to pray to God even when things are good, not only when they're bad.

What would you take away from this quarantine?

AT HOME FULL BODY WORKOUT

Monday, April 20, 2020

Happy Monday friends!

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty chill, like it has been for the past couple of months lol

Today is usually my "get all the blogging things" done day lol so that's what we're up to today.

I haven't shared a workout post with y'all in a few months so it was time to do that.

As you can tell by the title this is a at home workout, if you don't have dumbbells feel free to use water bottles, your kid, your cat, just about anything you can find. Or you don't have to use any weight at all.

Okay sooo...

Usually my workout format is do 5 exercises and repeat the whole workout 3 times. I've changed things up a bit this time around and we have a total of 10 exercises, do each one for 30 seconds, rest for 10 seconds and move on to the next exercise. You will repeat the workout 3 times. And if you ain't sweating by the time you're done than I'll have to up my game for next time lol

Okay so by the end you should feel a little something like this! lol

I hope you guys enjoy and if you give this workout a go, let me know you like it! Thank you so much for supporting my blog!

Happy Thursday friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful day! Meant to publish this blog post yesterday but I was out doing our weekly grocery trip! I finally found toilet paper so that was great! haha They also removed the limit on how much water you can buy so I'm hoping that's a sign that things are slowly getting better.

I have been dying to share this  gorgeous top with you guys! It's from one of my favorites, Threads Boutique! I made a trip last month and they are currently having 30% off + free shipping! You can use code "Rosa30" at checkout! I snagged a few other pieces that I'll be sharing next week.

I'm wearing a small in this top and I love how soft and loose fitting it is! It would also pair so good with leggings. And no worries, it's long enough to cover your booty girl! And can we talk about the ruffle sleeves...I'm a sucker for ruffles!

I paired it with these American Eagle jeans that I've had for a few years now, they're not longer available but I'm linking a similar pair (available here). These espadrilles are also from Threads but sold out , I was able to find them here, I'm wearing my true size, 6.

And that is a wrap for today's post, if there is any item that you see here or any questions, please feel free to message me! Or leave me a comment, I love chatting you guys!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and THANK YOU so much for continuing to support me!
