OUTFIT DETAILS: TOP (M) // SHORTS (6)

Happy Monday friends!

Woke up to a rainy & gloomy day, but we're going to make the best of it! Does anyone else feel like the weather really affects their mood?
---

I stopped by Target the other day while Julian was at church and found a few good items!

Don't come for me but I feel like Target just hasn't been killing it lately, well at least for me. Everything is either cropped or I look like a pilgrim, which is fine if that's your style but it's not mine. So, I was pretty stoked when I found these pieces!

PLAID BLAZER (XS) $35- I wish I had an office to work at because how freaking gorgeous is this blazer!! It has more of a boyfriend fit which I LOVE!

CASUAL SHORT SLEEVE (M) $5- You can never go wrong with a casual white tee! I love to stock up on these because number one they're so affordable and quality are great, and number 2, its one of those staple items that every girl should have in their closet! So many ways to style this!

HIGH RISE JEAN SHORTS (6) $15- These are the shorts I'm wearing in every picture shown above! I am currently a true size 4, and I sized up in these. The booty coverage is not the best, but I feel like if I would've done another size up, so a 8, it would've fit better! If you're more on the thinner size, then I feel like stay to your true size.

THERMAL TUNIC (SM) $20- I loved everything about this top! The fit, the color and the style! It says it's a thermal material, but to me it's definitely more breathable than a regular thermal.

RELAXED BUTTON DOWN (SM) $20- I have seen this color a lot so I feel like it's going to be one of the go to colors for Spring this year. I love that this top is a button down but it's not like dressy, you know what I mean? lol Pair this with some shorts, and sandals, so cute for the beach!

EMBROIDERED PEPLUM (M) $28- I saved the best for last! I AM OBSESSED!!! How gorgeous is this top! This is perfect for Spring and Summer. Or if you have any tropical vacations planned! I did size up in it and it was perfect!
---

And that wraps up today's post! Thank you so much for continuing to be here! I promise every like, comment and share, helps me out so much! More than you know. So THANK YOU!

FITNESS JOURNEY UPDATE (JANUARY 2022)

Wednesday, January 26, 2022

OUTFIT DETAILS: ACTIVE WEAR TOP (SM)  // LEGGING (SM) // SLIP ON SNEAKERS (6)

Hello friends!

This post may be a lengthy one so grab a snack!

The last time I did a fitness update was sometime last year if that (read post here). I started this fitness/health journey I believe January of 2018, so I just celebrated my four years this year! Happy anniversary to me! You would think I'd be ripped by now right? Well life happens y'all! So let's dive in, and I'll share where I went wrong, and what our plan is!

So yesterday I decided to take my "before" pictures, and y'all I lost it! You guys know I always say "don't pay attention to the scale, focus on how you look and feel" so when I saw those pictures I was unwell. I literally feel like I'm starting from zero, again.

But in a way that's a good thing, maybe, this time around I feel like I know what works for me, and what steps I need to take.
-----

I didn't really start to notice my weight gain, till about March 2021. We went to North Carolina to visit my family and I could see it in all the pictures. Then April came around, we're not going to talk too much about this time because well I'm still trying to get over it.

I think I gained about 20 pounds since April, how do I know you ask? Well since I don't like to weigh myself, I try my best to not pay any mind to it when I'm at the doctors office either but one day it was inevitable. And there it was! 153 pounds. I'm only 4"11 so, mama is looking a little stubby lol

On top of that, I felt so tired all the time!! Fatigued, and just plain ole lazy!

I got my gym membership November 15, and was honestly dreading it. You guys know I am all about home workouts BUT I really needed something to kick me into high gear. And it also fits perfectly into my routine. I drop Julian off at school and head straight to the gym, I'm in town anyways so I literally have no excuse.

The motivation to work out is definitely still there. The motivation to eat healthier? We're working on that.
---

What is my current goal? And what's the plan?

My current goal is to lose a few pounds, my ideal "number" is 130-135. This week I decided I am all in eating healthier and continuing to workout. I'm kinda doing intermediate fasting, I usually have breakfast about 9:30-10am and then my last meal is at 5:30 or 6. I personally love IF because again, it fits perfectly into my routine. I don't wake up starving or go to sleep hungry. Now somedays are different so I would say that 4-5 days out of the week I do IF.

At the moment I am following the Alive 1.0 program from Alive by Whitney Simmons App. I am currently on week 7 so almost done. I can't say enough good things about this app y'all. It keeps me motivated, the exercises are easy, she has gym programs as well as at home, and the best part? I only spend about an hour at the gym so WIN!

Like I did last time, I will be documenting my journey as I go. So if you don't follow me on Instagram, you totally should! I'm a lot more active on there.

I hope you continue to follow me on this journey! Because we are NOT GIVING UP this time, NO MATTER HOW HARD LIFE GETS!

And I'm leaving with this collage of myself, not awkward at all, for my own motivation! Also a few links to previous blog posts to hopefully motivate you as well!

VALENTINE'S DAY OUTFIT! *CASUAL*

OUTFIT DETAILS: SEAMLESS BODYSUIT (M)  / CARDIGAN (SM) / ANKLE RIPPED JEANS (27)

Happy Monday friends!

It's a rainy cold day in Texas! Shocker!

The weather has been crazy lately! One day we were literally 75 degrees and that same day it dropped down to maybe 39!

----

I am going to try my very best to put together a few different Valentine's Day outfits. I know we're not all going to celebrate, but I plan on doing some casual, comfy and dressy outfits!

So, starting off with this outfit!

Probably one of my favorite outfits I've put together so far!

This bodysuit is definitely a closet staple! It fits perfect! Some of the colors and sizes are sold out but it's worth a look. This is also great to take into Spring! Plus it's currently on sale!

Okay Walmart online is always sold out of majority of the things that I seem to share. So, this cardigan  is sold out in some sizes, but other prints are still available. I bought mine in store so you may have to check your local Walmart. I was so impressed with the quality of this! And it actually keeps you so so warm!

You guys LOVED these jeans and I don't blame you! They are so dang flattering! They're also currently on sale, still a little pricey but so worth it. I wish I could wear them every.single.day lol

If you haven't shopped at Giddy Up Glamour Boutique, it's a MUST! They have so many cute items and if you're style is anything like mine, you're going to love them! I bought these booties when they were on sale and they are gorgeous! They hit me right at my ankles and I love the color!

Wrapping up this post with a huge Thank you! My first week back at blogging was truly a success and of course it's all thanks to you all!

RECENT FAVORITES! HAIR, BEAUTY + MORE

Wednesday, January 19, 2022

 Hello friends!

Thank you SO MUCH for the support and love on my last blog post! You guys know how to make a girl feel loved!

Since my little sabbatical, I have discovered so many new favorites! I plan on also sharing a "Product Empties" soon. There were so many, but I narrowed it down a little bit or at least I tried!

1) CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF- Okay this product is phenomenal! I stopped using regular makeup wipes a while back because I found it was irritating my skin. So, I gave this a try and y'all! It removes everything! It's on the high-end side but so worth it.

2) LIVING PROOF CLEAN DRY SHAMPOO- Another favorite that is on the pricier side, you guys know I love my affordable products, but I had to try this out! Worth.Every.Penny! It has got to be the best dry shampoo I've tried. I will use my drugstore one on 2nd day hair and then this one on 3rd or 4th day hair.

3) VASELINE LIP THERAPY & LANEIGE LIP MASK- Phew! These two products have saved my lips y'all! Leaves them so dang moisturized and they aren't idk too heavy or sticky on my lips. If you suffer from chapped lips especially during the winter, these will be your bestfriends!

4) MILANI LIP LINER & LIPSTICKS- "Cafe au Lait" in the lip liner is such a perfect nude! Also lasts for hours! "Passion" in the lipstick! I think these lipsticks broke the internet. They are that good! I had the hardest time finding the nude shades at my drugstores so you may have to order directly from the Milani website.

5) LANGE BORAGO HAIR MASK & AMAZON CLAW CLIPS- Lange does no wrong in my opinion so you know this hair mask is GOOD! These claw clips have also been a life saver! I love using them at the gym!

6) MORPHE JACLYN HILL DIVINE NEUTRAL- My go-to palette! Perfect everyday shades.

7) FUR OIL- Tasha, my wax girl, put me on this for maybe 6 months now and I've been obsessed! I've been getting Brazilians for almost a year and I will never go back to shaving. This oil helps so much with in grown hairs!

8) NATIVE DEODORANT- Another life update, I've gone all natural with my deo! Lol best decision I've made for myself. I won't lie the first few weeks was tough and smelly BUT it gets better lol

9) 180 DEVOTIONS FOR WHEN LIFE IS HARD- I saved the best for last! My best friend Karina gifted this to me, and it has honestly gotten me through the hard days. I highly recommend this to anyone going through a rough time, or a hard season in life.

This post was definitely a little bit lengthy so if you made this far thank you!

I will talk to you guys soon!

I'M BACK! (AGAIN) + MY GO-TO OUTFIT FROM WALMART!

Monday, January 17, 2022

Hello girlfriends!

Happy Monday!

I am so excited to be back! It feels like I say that way too often.

I took a much-needed break from blogging and social media in general. With all the things that went on and are still going on I was just so overwhelmed. I felt like I hadn't let myself really take time and just process everything. I'm not saying I'm fully healed but I'm definitely better than I was a couple of months ago. I've gone back to reading, I forgot how amazing it is to get lost in a good book! I'm consistent at the gym again, working out, and slowly eating healthier.

I didn't realize how "bad" I'd gotten until every little thing was triggering for me. It still is but every time something good happens I'm no longer waiting for the other shoe to drop; I'm just praying hard and soaking up all the good moments as they come.

----
You guys know I love a good casual outfit, so I thought what a better way to come back than sharing this outfit! This has literally been my go-to outfit that last few weeks.

A wise woman told me "If you like it, get in every color" and so I will be purchasing this pullover in another color/print. It is one of those pieces that you need in your closet, a staple item.

Okay so I saw another blogger share these leggings and I was so excited when I found them at my local Walmart. I picked them up in a size small and they were a bit too big. The Time & Tru collection always runs a little big in my opinion. So an extra small would've worked better. But I did really like the quality of them. I don't own a pair of Spanx leggings but they definitely look similar to these.

I've shared these sneakers before, maybe a few times, and they continue to be a favorite.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I promise to be more consistent! Thank you for continuing to support my blog!
