20 HEALTHY WAYS TO DEAL WITH STRESS & DEPRESSION

Monday, October 29, 2018

Happy Monday friends!

I have missed working on my blog & connecting with y'all! I took the week off because I was feeling so unmotivated, depressed, anxious & stressed. I always want to put out content that I'm comfortable with and that reflects how I'm feeling. And I try to put out positivity as well!

These last few weeks have been hard. I've been dealing with a lot of personal things that I really can't control, and that I DON'T have control over. Around this time last year, I was going through the same thing, I have found that a lot of it has to do with being so far away from my family. I feel like my nephew is growing so fast, and I'm afraid he's not going to remember me or love me (silly I know). I stress about the fact that my parents are getting older, and I feel like this is the time I should be spending with them but I have a family of my own now that I have to be with.

I worry that I'm not being a good enough mom to Julian, that I'm not being a good wife, friend & sister. I stress over not having a career, wishing I could go to college, wishing I could enlist in the military, but all that is placed on hold for now. If you've been following me for a while than you know why.

And the list goes on but unlike last year, this year I've been coping with things so much better. I opened up to my husband a few months back, and I feel like that was so much weight lifted off my shoulders. He now understands why some days I'm just quiet & want to be alone.

I try my best to get myself out off these moods in a "natural" & healthy way. Had I not started working out this year, I may have been in a very bad place. So for today's post I wanted to share with y'all 20 Healthy Ways To Deal With Stress & Depression!
I hope y'all enjoy!

*Please take in mind I'm sharing ways that I cope with this, we all have our ways of coping with things*

Happy Friday friends!

It has actually chilly this whole week! Praise the Lord! This week felt pretty busy to me, we were on the go almost the whole week. We finally got groceries done yesterday!

I have been stressing over a certain issue lately & it's really taking a toll on me. I can't talk about it yet, I want to make sure things are going to be okay before I begin to talk about my experience and all that jazz. But I have been praying about it a lot the last couple of days, and already I'm feeling a little at ease. I don't think I've talked about it much on here, but since we've moved to Texas, we haven't found a church that we love and feel comfortable with.

With that being said, we haven't been to church in a few months, sad, I know! I really didn't think finding a church would be a problem. You can say I don't feel as connected with God as I wish I could be. But fingers crossed this Sunday we'll make it to a church lol

For today's post I wanted to share with y'all how I would style this cardigan! This Camel Color Cardigan is a MUST for Fall! You can style it soo many ways! DAY IN THE LIFE: STAY AT HOME MOM

Friday, October 12, 2018

Happy Friday my lovely readers!

For today's post I wanted to try something a little different. I tried  to do a Day In The Life! I'm still kind off shy taking pictures in public, but I promise I will do my best to bring you guys great content! I LOVE watching these types of videos on Youtube, but I'm just not about the Youtube world  lol , so I thought I would do it in Blog form!

We've been at home majority of the week, since Julian's tummy was still a little upset, but now that he's feeling better we were out and about!

So here we go! I hope y'all enjoy this post! And please let me know if y'all like this kind off content!

I have been so bad with my morning routine lately! In my defense, we've been transitioning Julian into his own room, and it's like going through the whole newborn stage again! I usually wake up at 6am! And of course y'all know I can't function without coffee & my fave breakfast! Avocado toast!

We had a few errands to run, so I had to actually make an effort and look decent! haha We took out the trash, dropped off a couple of bills, and finally made it to the post office!
I got some happy mail from Knit-Pickin Boutique! This top is so comfy & perfect for Fall! You can check them out HERE and use my discount code "ROSA10" at checkout for 10% off!

We somehow ended up at Target! Crazy right?! Does that happen to anyone else? haha! And we were actually able to roam around for a little while! You know that's a miracle when you have a toddler! Thank God for popcorn! We ended our day going to the park and making a quick stop at daddy's office! Julian ALWAYS gets so excited when we go see him!

I hope y'all enjoyed this post! Thank you so much for stopping & for continuing to support me & my blog! It means the world to me!

Cheers to the weekend!

KILLER ARM WORKOUT

Monday, October 8, 2018

Happy Monday my lovely readers!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day so far!

I had mentioned that I was changing up my blogging schedule just a bit, but I've come to the conclusion that I will be posting on Mondays and/or Tuesday and Friday's! I think that flows better with my readers and myself!

Julian's tummy is still a little bit sensitive but overall he's back to his normal self! I've also been trying to get him to sleep in his own bed, which is going okay, sometimes he'll go down without a fight and other times he'll beg to sleep in our bed lol But I'll be completely honest with y'all, I've had so much trouble sleeping without him! #momlife

For today's post I wanted to share with y'all this Killer Arm Workout! And trust me when I tell you, your arms will feel like jello after this workout! I really dislike doing arms! It wasn't until maybe August that I was putting in more effort lol I started to lift a little heavier and concentrate on my arm fat!

Besides my "baby fat", my arms are probably the most difficult to tone! I've always felt like I had a "big" back, if you know what I mean, so I thought that if I started to lift, that I would look super manly, take in mind I already felt self conscious of my legs. But I ended up lifting anyway, and I've noticed such an amazing difference in the last couple of months! I can FINALLY tell my arms are starting to tone up a little bit, as well as my back.

When I first started working out, I used mainly body weight, but now I use actual weights. With all these exercises you can use dumbbells or just water bottles like I'm using in some of these pictures. Start of light and work yourself up to heavier lifting. Like always just listen to your body, but know when to push yourself.

So let's begin....

I always start my workout with a 10 minute cardio, some days I run & some days I literally just dance!

There are six exercises in total, go through the whole workout, at your own pace and repeat it 3 times. If you can't do 3 rounds aim for 2!

*I'm finally able to do regular push ups and I feel pretty dang good about it! haha well I can only do at most 40!

*I don't know if it's just me, but I dread doing Tricep Dips!

I don't want this to come out idk selfish, but I hadn't realized how toned my body is now, until I took these pictures. I've been working out for 10 months, taking breaks here and there, and still working on eating better, but looking at these pictures, I can tell my hard work is starting to pay off! I know I'm not the fittest, but I'm definitely working on it!

I hope y'all enjoy this workout! & please let me know if y'all try it out! I'll see y'all on Friday with a new post!

1) PUSH UPS- 12

2) PLANK TRICEPS KICKBACKS-12 EACH SIDE

3) BENT OVER BARBELL ROW-12

4) TRICEP DIPS-12

5) SIDE ARM RAISES-12 EACH SIDE

6) FRONT ARM RAISES-12 EACH SIDE

OUTFITS OF THE WEEK

Thursday, October 4, 2018

Happy Friday my lovely readers!

I hope you had a wonderful week!

Julian was sick pretty much the past three days! He's finally feeling so much better. As wild as my child can be, I rather see him running around than laying down miserable! But praise the Lord, he's back to his normal self! He was up all night on Wednesday night, and it felt like he was a newborn again, waking up every 2 hours! Kinda killed the baby fever! Just kidding (kinda)

For today's post I wanted to share with y'all another OUTFITS OF THE WEEK! You can check out my previous one HERE . I love seeing bloggers post their daily outfits, it gives me so much inspo! So my husband told me that I needed to buy some "casual" shoes, and y'all I think he's absolutely right! Crazy I know! haha! I love wearing heels, because I'm so petite & when I wear them, I feel tall & like I can conquer the world! Lol But I think next time I buy a pair of shoes, it's probably going to be some flats, leopard of course! My husband is not a fan of leopard print! I don't understand him sometimes!

Q&A : GETTING TO KNOW THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG!

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

Happy Tuesday my lovely readers!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day so far!

Oh and Happy October! I'm so excited for this month! And I can't wait to see what Julian will be for Halloween! Last year he was Gecko from PJ Mask! He is obsessed! What did your kid or kids dress up as last year? The weather has also been so nice & cool! Praise the Lord! I was getting kinda tired of sweating within 2 seconds!

I've had a major migraine the whole afternoon so I'm feeling pretty miserable today!I wanted to start of this months posts with a Q&A (question & answer) blog post! I thought it would be fun and y'all would get to know me a little bit better! If you don't follow me on Instagram, you totally should! Lol I post more frequently over there! I tried the "ask me a question" feature so that's where all these questions are coming from!

I hope y'all enjoy!

Q: Do we plan on having more kids?
A: I think so, but not anytime soon. We're pretty content with Julian for now!

Q:What products do you use on your hair? Ps. Looks so healthy even after you curl it!
A: Thank you! & I use this conditioner! I think that's what really makes it look healthy! Trust me, it's not that healthy! Lol I also don't add to much heat to my hair! Oh and I ALWAYS let it air dry

Q: Any Fall outfit ideas?
A: Yes! Tons!! I've done two Fall outfit posts you can check them out HERE & HERE! And I plan on doing more!

Q: Why did you start your blog?
A: I first started blogging in 2012 and it was off and on! I didn't get serious about it until July of this year! I love blogging! I love reading and writing! I'm not good at it, but I love it! I love Fashion so I thought I could combine the two! There's also so much negativity and hate in this world that I really just wanted to create my own little spot on the internet as a "safe haven". Somewhere that I can just speak, well type, what's on my mind or just share an outfit!

Q: How did you & your husband meet? Is he still in the military?
A: We met through mutual friends! He is not active duty anymore.

Q: Do you miss working?
A: I do, and I've been thinking about going back but I just can't leave my little boy, especially since we don't know many people around here, and I just don't trust daycare anymore!

Q: Do you workout every day?
A: 5-6 days a week!

Q: How do you stay so motivated to workout? I start off good for a few days and it just idk goes away! Lol
A: I totally understand! And as cliche as this sounds, the hardest part is starting! Once you start and see results, you're just going to want more and that's going to push you to keep going!

Q: You've mentioned that you wanted to join the military, if you were able to would you still do it now?
A: If I ever get the opportunity, yes I would still do it, but I think I would do Reserves.

Q: How tall are you?
A: The most dreaded question! Lol just kidding! I am 4"11! I know, I know! I'm super short!

Q: How was your labor & delivery?
A: It actually wasn't bad at all, I was in active labor for 4 hours and within a couple of pushes, Julian was here! Lol I didn't get the epidural BUT I think if I would've been in labor for more than that I may have given in! The main reason I didn't get it or want it, was because that needle is HUGE!

Q: How many tattoos do you have? Do you want more?
A:  I have 5 tattoos, and yes I want more! I REALLY want a half sleeve!

Q: What would you tell someone who wants to start a blog?
A: Just do it! But do it for all the right reasons! I was scared at first, because the only person who supported me was my sister, my husband is finally coming around lol and I was afraid people would make fun of me or just judge me, but that is going to happen no matter what you do! And I'm not where I want to be with my blog, I hope and pray I can grow it! But if it's something you really want to do than just go for it girl!

Q: How did you come up with your blog name?
A: I kinda just put two and two together lol I think that's how that saying goes! I had a bunch of names in mind, but they were mostly directed towards a Fashion Blog, and I didn't want my blog to be just Fashion, I wanted to be able to share mom, wife, lifestyle, personal things so I thought Coffee With Rosa was perfect! I kept repeating it in my head and it just felt like a warm welcome lol Like grab a cup of coffee and come enjoy some girl talk kinda thing!

I don't want to bored you with tons of questions! So we'll stop here! Lol I'll definitely be doing more soon! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for continuing to support me and my blog! I hope y'all have a wonderful & productive week!
