WHAT I EAT IN A DAY

Wednesday, July 31, 2019

Happy Wednesday friends!

I didn't get a chance to publish a blog post on Monday but here we are today! If you follow me on IG you know I've been having a rough few days and took sometime off from working out. Although I do believe that working out has helped me out tremendously , sometimes it's good to just take a little break, your body needs it.

For today's post I wanted to share a What I Eat In A Day! I love sharing these posts with you guys because I use to think eating salads all day every day was the way to go, but I've come to realize that it isn't haha. I use to be "afraid" of food but now honey, I can eat! I think most of us also think that eating healthy is boring but you just have to get creative with it!

I hope y'all enjoy this post and find some food inspo! I promise you eating healthy DOES NOT have to be boring!

BREAKFAST

Sweet potatoes w/ green & red bell peppers and egg: by far my favorite breakfast well besides avocado toast! It's so easy to make but so dang yummy! You can even prep this by pre cooking the sweet potato that way all you have to do is warm them up! I have been obsessed with green and red peppers lately, I find them soo good for breakfast! And I usually always have eggs in the morning! I just seasoned it with salt and pepper! Try it, it's good!

Pico De Gallo Toast & egg: okay so I had this a few days ago but still wanted to share because its another easy but yummy breakfast or lunch! I made this pico de gallo a couple of days ago I just chopped up some ; tomato, jalapeno, cilantro, red onion, and avocado & added some salt & lemon juice! SOOOO GOOOD! You could even make this into a salad just use some lettuce and add chicken!

SNACK:

CARAMEL RICE CAKE W/ PEANUT BUTTER & BANANA: This is definitely an oldie but a goodie! I've been having such a sweet tooth lately, so I'll eat this or other days I'll eat some yogurt with berries!

LUNCH

CHICKEN & BROCCOLI:  I had some left over chicken that I needed to use so I just threw that with some broccoli and carrots, oh and I added a little bit of soy sauce, yum!

DINNER

HEALTHY'ISH TOSTADAS: This is my go-to dinner, ask my husband! haha I feel like we have these once a week at least! If you guys want me to show you how I make the chicken let me know in the comments, but I just have a tostada I try to look for some that are not crazy in calories, mashed avocado, shredded chicken, pico de gallo, lettuce, cheese and I also added homemade salsa. If you're a sour cream person feel free to add some or substitute with greek yogurt. But this is seriously so yummy, I know I've said that about everything else haha but goes to show you, healthy isn't boring!

As far as drinks I usually drink tons of water, occasionally I'll have a soda. Also lemon water is my go-to!

WALMART TRY ON!

Wednesday, July 24, 2019

Happy Wednesday friends!

I'm up bright eyed and bushy tailed! I wanted to get today's blog post up early because I found some good pieces at Walmart and want to make sure you guys get a chance to try them on before they sell out! My sweet friend Brianna from the HTX MOM, is always posting some awesome Walmart finds so I ended up taking a trip!

My only issue with some Walmart items is that sometimes they only carry them online, so with a lot of these pieces thats the case. I'm still providing links for them just so you guys know exactly what the item is. Also I had another sweet follower of mine ask if I still get credit if you chose to do In-Store pickup, and yes I do! As long as you stay on my link and complete your purchase I still get credit. Thank you guys so much!

Last year I found some great jeans at Walmart and I'm still currently obsessed with them! I think only a couple of you were able to find them in store and they weren't sold on line so that was a bummer! But this pair is just as good or well honestly I like these better! I love that it doesn't have too much distressing! I totally recommend you guys trying them out! I'm wearing a size one and  they fit like a glove! They're high waisted and are only $17!! Can't beat it!

All the heart eyes for this flannel! Gets me so dang ready for Fall! This comes in a few other colors and it's so comfy! This is definitely a Fall staple item! Also super affordable!

I really need to get better at taking blog worthy photos, notice all the mess under the mirror! haha Anyway if you know me you know leopard is my jam! Like I LOVE LOVE leopard! So of course I saw this top and was head over heels! For whatever reason this print is not sold online but they have 2 more prints that are so you can check them out HERE . I think this top would be perfect for all my teachers or if you work in an office! Pair it with some black slacks, ooohh girl!

Hands down the softest sweaters I have tried on! These  are available online and come in a few other colors! If you're looking to just get basic pieces, I would go with the oatmeal color because you can wear it with just about anything and everything. And they're under $15! Insane I know! They also have a little slit on the sides which give it a little something extra!

Another basic piece you need in your closet! These pullover sweaters are perfect to throw on for running errands or just to lounge around the house! They also come in several other colors and are only $10! They're so comfy! I'm wearing a small I'm usually between XS or S so I love that it fits a smidge oversized!

I'm sure you have seen these dresses everywhere! Lol I'm pretty short so it fits a bit long, well for my liking, I knotted it on the side and it looks okay. I think if you're a bit taller you'll love this! Comes in a few other colors and also under $15!

I didn't have any luck finding these shoes online but again head to your local Walmart and try them out! I love the first pair! I think they'd be a great transitional item! As well as the black slides!

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN WORKOUT PLAN/SCHEDULE

Monday, July 22, 2019

Happy Monday friends!

The weekend went by pretty dang fast! I spent most of it cleaning the house (which seems to never stop) and cutting the grass. We're suppose to be getting a "cool front" and when my husband first told me, I was thinking 50 degree weather you know, but nope I think it's suppose to be in the low 80's, I'll take what I can get though! haha

Monday's are always about fitness or health here on my blog, I also try my best to share workouts that you can do at home because I know majority of my followers are either moms or you just rather workout at home. In the last couple of weeks one of the most commonly asked questions has been, how do I know what to do each day? How do I plan out my workouts?

So I thought I would share with y'all how I do it and how you can too! It's easy and I feel like having a plan keeps you motivated because you know what you're going to be doing instead of laying in bed, contemplating on what you're going to do and then next thing you know you've spent an hour scrolling through Pinterest trying to come up with exercises to do that day, you catch my drift?

First thing is first...

WHY DO YOU WANT TO START EXERCISING?
Okay so first ask yourself this question. Are you doing this because you want to lose weight, to tone up, to be confident, or simply because you just want to be healthier! Or because you want to wear cute workout clothes, "slowly raises hand". You first have to figure out why you want this and then well you've heard me say it a million times...the HARDEST part is STARTING!

WHEN & HOW LONG CAN YOU EXERCISE
This is KEY! Be realistic, how much time do you have to workout? So let's say you have to be at work at 8am, wait did I mention sleep will be sacrificed? Okay assuming it takes you maybe an hour to get to work, puts you at 7am, maybe 30 minutes to get ready, so 6:30, this means you can wake up at either 5:45 or 6 and get a good 20-30 minute workout in! OR if you rather workout after work, pack your workout clothes so right after work you can get it done. Also let's say your busiest day is Monday, you don't want to schedule yourself to do an hour workout, why? Because you don't want to overwhelm yourself and end up skipping your workout. Like I said be realistic and productive with your time. Remember this is YOUR workout plan.

WHAT FORM OF EXERCISE DO YOU WANT TO DO?
This is also KEY! There are so many forms of exercise now that there is something for everyone! When creating your workout plan choose things that you genuinely ENJOY! This is a perfect example..If you don't like running but you want to do cardio so you assume running is the way to do it you're kinda forcing it on you. You don't enjoy running so chances are you're never going to really enjoy your workout. Maybe try Zumba or riding your bike, or even boxing! Depending on what your goal is, do make sure you're balancing between cardio & lifting weights (physical weights or your own body weight) to see changes in your body.

DETERMINE WHERE YOU WILL BE EXERCISING
And lastly determine where you will be exercising. Again this is YOUR workout plan so this is all up to you. For me, I do at home workouts. If you're a stay at home like me, you can even take your kids to the park, pack your yoga mat, a couple of weights and of course a towel, and get your workout done at the park! You get your sweat on and your kids get some play time! Win Win! I'm just giving you ideas here, if you decide to workout after work but don't have access to at gym, and you're bored of doing your workouts at home, head to the park, ride your bike or even hike a trail! I'm telling you there is something for everyone!

CURRENT MAKEUP FAVORITES

Friday, July 19, 2019

Happy Friday!

We finally made it to the weekend! Do y'all have any plans? Julian and I were suppose to meet my husband up for dinner but things didn't work out as planned, when do they right? So I think I'm going to stuff my face with wine & pizza rolls #livingmybestlife

Totally random but have y'all tried the Green Apple Moscato Sangria (I think that's what it's called)  from Olive Garden? Y'all it's so dang good! And pretty dangerous because it taste like juice! I love me some moscato too so there's that haha. I honestly can't decide if I want some wine or iced coffee, the struggle is real!

For today's post I wanted to share my current makeup favorites! You can check out my previous one HERE . I've had my eyes on these products for a while so I finally purchased them in the last few weeks, I'm not even kidding I've been using these products every.single.day!

If you end up trying any of these products let me know or post a photo and tag me! I want to know if you love it as much as I do, or not! Lol

1.ELF BROW WOW GEL - If you guys don't follow Roxette Arisa on Youtube, do yourself a favor and check her out! She made a whole video with her favorite drugstore finds and this was one of them! Y'all this gel is soo good! I'm trying to let my brows grow out so I just fill them in just a bit and apply this gel and my brow stay put! They ain't going nowhere honey! I have it in the color "neutral brown".

2.) ELF ULTRA PRECISE PENCIL - This is what I've been using to fill my brows lately and I love it! It goes on smoothly and has a thin tip so it's easier to apply. This is also in the color "neutral brown". I did look into the color "brunette" but it looked a bit redish to me.

3. NYX SUEDE MATTE LIP LINER -  If you follow me on Instagram, than you know I have been wearing a nude glossy lip for the past couple of days and have bragged about how good it is! If you don't follow me, you can HERE! It'll mean the world to me! I'm trying to hit 3k followers by the end of this year! Before I apply the gloss I use this lip liner and girl, it's a match made in heaven! They go perfectly together! This is in the color "London".

4. NYX BUTTER GLOSSThis is my PERFECT nude! I'm more of a medium tan skin tone and it's so hard to find a good nude. This is a bit more glossy so if you're not into that than you probably won't like this gloss. I think it looks soo good on me (not trying to sound conceited)! Color is "Madeleine" .

5.WET N WILD CATSUIT LIPSTICK- This color is so gorgeous! It's the perfect summer color! Also goes on so smoothly!

6.MILANI ROSE POWDER BLUSH- Also hopped on my IG stories and bragged about this blush! So. dang. gorgeous. It's in the color "coral cove". Get your hands on it!

OUTFIT DETAILS: KIMONO (ONE SIZE)

Happy Wednesday friends!

It is a HOT HOT HOT day in Texas today! Is it too soon to wish for Fall? Spring & Fall are my jam! Anyone else? What's your favorite season? I'll admit though it is a bit too soon to start thinking about all the cute Fall outfits & all the fun activities BUT I stopped by Target (surprise surprise) and found some good pieces that would make the perfect transitional pieces! I have them linked under each photo as well as below!

This lace trim cami has been so popular! It was a hit last season and I can already tell it will be a hit again!

Clearly I have a thing for kimonos but how can you not they just make the whole outfit! I'll have to say that my 2 top faves is the one in outfit 2 & 4! I can see myself wearing this one with some leopard booties! Giirrll!!

The jeans I'm wearing on outfits 1-3 are so good! I wish they would've had a size 2! I tried on a size 0 and it fits but not comfortably! Also I was excited about these black jeans  because I saw jen from the "thesisterstudioig" talk about similar ones, they have a distressed hem and are soo cute but I'm too dang short so they fit awkardly on me! But if you're more on the taller side I'd definitely try them out!

Also the blazer on outfit 3 is adorable! It's oversized, which also seems to be a trend lately, and has yellow stripes! I'm not going to lie it's definitely something out of my comfort zone but I love the trend! I think it would be soo cute with a white cami, dark wash jeans and some nude heels!

Below I'm also linking other things I found! Some are on sale like these booties! And you'll get a lot of use out of them!

I hope you enjoyed this post! And loved the pieces I picked out! Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog! It truly means the world to me. Also a huge thank you for shopping through my links!

3 WAYS I GET 10 MINUTES OF CARDIO IN EACH DAY

Monday, July 15, 2019

Happy Monday friends!

And most importantly happy Amazon Prime Day! I've posted a few finds on the liketoknow.it app and you can also find it here on my blog under the "shop my Instagram" tab!

This mama had the morning to herself and wow! I definitely needed some alone time. I love my kid don't get me wrong but there's just something about having a few hours to yourself. I headed to Target, Starbucks of course, and picked up a couple of things from Ulta. You can say I've had a pretty great day!

Okay so for today's post I wanted to share with y'all 3 Ways I Get 10 Minutes Of Cardio In! If you follow me here or on IG you know I do about 10 minutes of cardio every day. On Sunday's and occasionally on Thursday's I'll take the day as my "running day". But for the most part I do 10 minutes. Now I know cardio isn't for everyone, well running, so I mix it up because well I also get bored haha. There's 3 ways that I get my cardio in, and like I said I love to mix it up.

1. RUNNING/LAPS- Okay like I said this one isn't for everyone, but when I'm not full on running, I usually like to just run laps up and down our driveway. Just do it for 1o minutes and you're good to go. It gets my heart going and prepped for my workout.

2.HIIT WORKOUTS- I LOVE HIIT! There is just something about it that gives me that rush! In those 10 minutes, you will be dripping in sweat! Last week I did sprints, and I about died! But it felt soo good! I'm also linking the HIIT workouts that I have on my blog so you can refer back to them!

15 MINUTE HITT WORKOUT

10 MINUTE HITT WORKOUT

3. DANCING- I get tons of questions when i post "10 min dance sess" and y'all I literally just dance in the comfort of my own home to whatever music I want. Of course for the ten minutes you need to keep your body moving!
But it's so fun and it puts you in a good mood! Try it! Here is my playlist! It's nothing too crazy haha

Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog! It means the absolute world to me!

JUNE'S BEST SELLERS

Friday, July 12, 2019

Happy Friday friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! If you follow me on Instagram, if you don't I think you should, I'm most active over there! You know my kid woke up on the wrong side of the bed! He threw a good ten minute tantrum, calmed down, and went at it again! And of course I spilled coffee on my shirt so you can say my Friday is going splendid! ha

Anyway..I'm also doing a giveaway over on my IG so be sure to enter! It ends on Sunday and it's for a $130 gift card! Are you guys going to be shopping #primeday? My feed is flooded with the NSALE and quite frankly it's SO overwhelming!

For today's post I wanted to round up the best sellers from June! A couple of pieces are from Amazon so be sure to enter my giveway so you can do some shopping girl!

CAMO TEE - This was actually a huge hit this past month! I've had mine for several months and have worn the heck out of it! And it's only $8!

LEOPARD TEE- Clearly we love t-shirts around here, and I don't mind one bit! This one will also be perfect to wear during the Fall time, which I'm so ready for!

UNY AMAZON CHAIN BRACELET
UNY AMAZON PEARL BRACELET - These are my everyday bracelets, I've had them for over 3 months and they are holding up pretty well! They are definitely a dupe for David Yurman. You guys also loved these!

LEOPARD KIMONO - Mine is actually from Threads Boutique but I had linked this similar one from, of course, Amazon! And it was another hit! It's under $20 and has great reviews!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! And THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for shopping through my links! You truly don't know how much it helps me out! I love sharing all things fashion on my blog and I love this community!

20 MINUTE BEGINNERS FULL BODY WORKOUT (JULY 2019)

Monday, July 8, 2019

Happy Monday friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This weekend was my "deep" cleaning weekend, so our house was cleaned from head to toe! I was exhausted by the time I was finished. I've always said I wanted a pretty spacious house but I don't know if I can keep up with all the cleaning. I love a clean house though!

I didn't get a chance to get my Sunday run in but it's okay! I've learned to be okay with missing a workout. I wasn't always like these, I use to stress out about missing a day and feeling like I had to push myself the next day, I guess kinda punishing myself for it. Trust me, I know, not healthy at all. I think I've mentioned it in previous blog posts but I use to be obsessed with working out and making sure I ate "healthy". It was not healthy at all. Meaning I would only eat salads, stay at my calorie goal and if I went over I'd go "run it off". Wow now looking back, I can see how crazy obsessed I was!

Okay back to today's blog post...I was looking back and realized that I haven't shared a beginners workout! I had a sweet follower request it as well so here it is! This workout can literally be done anywhere! Just take your mat to the park, let your kid play and get your workout in! Or do it before work it's quick and pretty easy but definitely effective!

You're going to do each exercise for 30 seconds, rest for 30 and move on to the next exercise. Now these exercises are pretty basic but for those 30 seconds you need to push yourself. Work through it and then take your rest! If you need to between each round take a 1 minute rest, only if you NEED to.

Do this workout for a full week, and trust me, you're going to FEEL great! It's quick, easy & you don't need any workout equipment besides a mat, which you could totally use a towel. It's only about 20 minutes out of your day, that you can take to work on yourself. Do it for yourself, for your health, & for  the people that love & need you.

Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog! It truly means the world to me!

Disclaimer: I am NOT a personal trainer nor a health nutritionist, everything I am sharing is from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. If you attempt this workout please do it at your own pace. What works for me may not work for you.

EASIEST BUBBLE BRAID!

Friday, July 5, 2019

Happy Friday friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July! We went out for margaritas and well I had one too many! But it was so much fun haha Mama needs a break sometimes! We got home a little later than our normal so we ended up sleeping in. I also totally forgot about Julians haircut appointment so we were rushing to get out the door. Clearly mama can't hang anymore.

A couple of weeks ago I posted a photo on my IG feed where I had my hair in this messy bubble braid and you guys loved it! I'm so glad y'all did because it's so easy and literally anyone can do it! I am horrible at braids, I can do a basic braid but that's about it! I'm pretty sure this is considered a braid right? haha I also have another version of this that I will share with y'all in a couple of weeks as well! If you don't follow me on Instagram, you can HERE, I'm more active over there!

Okay so a few things to know. This is third day curled hair, I have medium length, and I did not add any product to my hair prior to doing this. I also didn't brush it, I know I know, but I feel that it holds up better when I don't, give it a try!

Here we go....

STEP 1: Okay so I like I said this is third day hair, I slept with it in a bun because it was all up in my face haha First I take a teasing comb and tease the lower part of my hair, nothing crazy just a little tease.

STEP 2: Part your hair in two, and place an elastic at the top of your hair, or right at your shoulders.

STEP 3: Pull on your hair in a "bubble" form. In other words place your thumbs on the inside and pull out. Hopefully I made sense.

STEP 4: Add another elastic towards the middle and repeat step 3. Depending on how long your hair is you can totally do more than three "bubbles", When I had long hair I could do about 5! LOL

REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE! Make sure you place the elastics evenly on the other side.

And that is it y'all! SUPER EASY RIGHT? From here you can just pull it here and there, make it messy, y'all know we love carbs & messy around here! You could totally add some hairspray to keep it all in place, but like I said mama was rushing so I forgot.

I hope y'all enjoyed this super easy hair tutorial! Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog! Also would love to hear your opinion on something that has been on my mind. I've been thinking about starting to do Youtube videos again? Do you guys still watch youtube videos? Lol Or is it too much drama? Let me know in the comments! I need your feedback.

Have a wonderful weekend.
