COFFEE TALK: LOSING FRIENDSHIPS

Happy Monday girlfriends!

I hope the new year has been good to you so far! For me, so far so good, still working on the waking up at 5am thing though! haha It'll take some time but I'll get there! We did all the things today! I'm feeling so accomplished! Oh and of course I have to brag on myself! I was finally brave enough to go out with my tripod (and toddler) and shoot some pictures! They came out pretty good, I'm so excited to bring some new content to the blog!

So I've been wanting to write about this topic for quite a while now! I don't know if it's just me or what it is, but I feel like it's so hard to make new friends and friendships! Especially now that I'm a little older, I know what kind of people I want to surround myself with and the harder it gets to find people that support and inspire you.

I use to have a couple of best friends in high school, we were so close and literally told each other everything and they knew just about every single thing there was to know about me, the good and bad. They were there when I needed them, and honestly I thought we'd be friends forever! Cheesy, I know. I never in a million years, thought  we'd grow apart, and not even speak to each other at this point.

Fast forward 8+ years later and we have probably only seen each other a handful or less of times. Isn't SO crazy! I read a quote on Pinterest, and I can't remember exactly how it goes, but it basically stated how, maybe you were only friends with people in school because you saw each other 5 days a week, maybe y'all weren't meant to be "best friends". And I truly believe this, now don't get me wrong I know TONS of people who have been best friends since school, I think I just have bad luck making and keeping friends.

I enjoy my alone time, and y'all should know this by now hahaha but I'd be lying if I tell you that I'm not jealous of friendships that have lasted YEARS! But hey things happen for a reason, am I right? And the older I get the more I learn to value people, I know it sounds kinda, I don't know, harsh? But it's true, I didn't value my parents when I was younger but now, I know all they went through to give us this life, same thing with friends, I now value them so much more, because I know the good ones are hard to find.

I hope y'all enjoyed this quick rant! A girl's gotta vent to someone! lol
Thank you so much for stopping by & for taking the time to read this post! And for continuing to support my blog!
