Happy Monday!
I'm currently sitting at Starbucks writing this post and I feel SO motivated! I might have to make this a once a week kinda thing.
First of all, did 2018 fly by or what? I feel like I just made a list of my 2018 goals, and here I am already starting on 2019's! The older I get the more I realize that time REALLY does fly by! Julian will be FOUR! And although it's six months away, it still makes my heart ache that my little 6 pound baby is growing up way too fast. My nephew is going to be one! My husband and I will reach our mid twenties! I though I'd have my life together by 25! Let's all take a moment to laugh at that!
If there is one thing I LOVE about New Year's is that it gives you a fresh start! It's a new chapter in your life, and you can either improve or be stuck where you are now, it's your choice! I always like to start the New Year with a clean house! My mom ALWAYS made us clean our rooms and do our laundry on New Years Eve. So today I'm going to be tackling all the things!
There are so many things I have definitely improved on last year but towards the end I started to slack off a little bit! I started to pick up bad habits and quite honestly I'm ready to break them! So for today's blog post I'm going to be sharing 5 Bad Habits To Break In 2019!
SLEEPING IN! - I was waking up super early for a few months! I would wake up at about 6am, workout, get ready for my day, drink my coffee, work on my blog, and have some "me" time all before 8am! And then that's usually the time Julian would be waking up. But I have been sleeping in WAY too many times! It feels like my whole day is gone when I wake up any later than 7:30! So this year I am making it a priority to wake up around 5:30 or 6! If you've ever listened to a motivational speech than you know the number one thing they say is that waking up early helps start your day in a positive way!
NEGATIVE THINKING! - I am SO guilty of this! And it's definitely a habit that I need to break! My husband could tell me he'll be home at 6 and if it's 6:30 and he's still not home yet I start to panic and start thinking the worst! Or if I text someone and they text back with an "okay" no emoji or anything, I'll start overthinking their text, assuming they're mad or maybe I did something! And just with about anything my first thought is always negative! So my mind set for this year will be more of a "oh crap I have a flat tire, well good thing I have a spare"!
PROCRASTINATING - I think we may all be guilty of this! I know I am for sure! I love putting things off! And quite frankly I use to be so good at getting things done and on time. But now it's totally a different story. Like I have a few things on my to-do list already that NEED to get done, but it involves doctors offices, and insurance calls and I just keep putting it off. This might the number one habit that I really need to break this year.
SAVING THINGS FOR THE "PERFECT" OCCASION- This might be something that all women do but I have the bad habit of ALWAYS trying to save a good outfit for the "perfect" occasion. Sometimes I wait for so long that I don't ever end up wearing the outfit. This goes for everything in life, stop waiting for the perfect moment, create it!
STAYING OFF THE PHONE! - Another one that we might ALL be guilty of! I have improved so much since last year but I still feel like I'm on my phone WAY too much! I use to wake up and the first thing I would do is spend at least an hour just scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest. I really want to spend just an hour on phone the whole day. My blog and Instagram are my hobbies, hopefully it will become my "job" soon, but I need to find the balance. I don't want to be that parent, that is looking at their phone while their kid is trying to get their attention, I have seen SOOO many!
I hope y'all enjoy this post and thank you so much for stopping by and continuing to support me! Happy New Year!
