MASCARA ROUTINE 2019

Friday, May 17, 2019

Happy Friday friends!

It blows my mind that it is already May! Well we're half way through May already! Isn't so crazy!

I had two amazing opportunities this week, and it's all thanks to you guys! I say it in every single post but seriously THANK YOU for supporting me and for supporting my blog! THANK YOU for shopping through my links and helping this mama out! I just really can't say THANK YOU enough!

I hope you noticed that I went a tad bit lighter with my hair! I got in the car after my hair appointment and my husband says "what did you get done", yup my jaw dropped! Men will be men! haha I love my hair! I love the length! It has been a while since I've been this obsessed with my hair. I am working on a hair post soon where I'll be sharing what I use as far as shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, ALL the hair info! BUT today's post is all about the LASHES!

Y'all know I am a mascara & lipstick type of gal! If I only had to pick one makeup product to wear for the rest of my life it would definitely be mascara. I have changed up my routine and I'm so excited to share with y'all because I have found 2 products that are soo good!

ORGANIC CASTOR OIL FOR EYELASH & EYEBROW GROWTH  -  So this is the first product that I have incorporated into my routine! I use to use castor oil for my lashes but the bottle I had expired so I just haven't repurchased until now. And I have thing for using expired stuff lol I've heard great things about this serum and wanted to give it a try and I'm not even kidding, I noticed my lashes were longer within a WEEK! I was mind blown! It comes with two sides, one side has a little brush that you use to apply the oil to the lash line, and then the other side is a spoolie which you use to apply the oil from the root of your lash to the top, I also use it to apply the product on my brows. I use it about 4-5 times a week, I apply it at night and of course in the morning I just proceed with my regular morning skin routine. I have not had any irritation or allergic reaction to this product whatsoever. I highly recommend this if you're looking for an affordable lash growth serum!

L'OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA PRIMER - Okay so now onto the good stuff, so once I'm ready to do my mascara, I first start by brushing my lashes using a spoolie, then I go ahead and curl them, this is my favorite eyelash curler! Now to the second star of the show! This primer is such a game changer! You apply it the same way you'd apply your mascara, I like to of course start at the root of the lash and wiggle it up,  I have a video on my IG stories where I'm showing you guys! Because y'all know I'm not good at explaining! Once you've applied it, let it dry for about 15 seconds, you don't want it to be too wet or too dry, just a bit tacky! Like I said this product is SO GOOD! If you have shorter lashes and no matter how much mascara you apply they just don't look long, TRY this product!

L'OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA-  This is my FAVORITE drugstore mascara! Oh and this one is great too! I use both of them in the color "BLACK" The only down side to this mascara is that it drys pretty quickly so you want to work kinda fast with it. But boy does it add volume! This is the final step, using the same technique, start from the root and wiggle up haha but really after that first coat I like to focus a bit more on the top of my lashes. Again I have a video on my stories where you can see what I'm doing. So I like to run the brush just about half way through the top of my lashes and wink as I'm doing that. I find that if I do this step from the root I get mascara all over my lids! Which I still get some but not as much! And that is it! Y'all know we don't talk much about makeup on here but this routine works wonders for my lashes!

And now you should have long beautiful lashes! I have tried to use falsies before but I just couldn't get them on for the life of me so I gave up! lol At least I tried right?

I hope y'all enjoyed this post! And if you try any of these products let me know how you like them! Or if they don't work out for you, because we are all different but you guys know that. THANK YOU for stopping by and for supporting my blog! It means the world to me! I hope 'all have a wonderful weekend!
