Happy Monday friends! & happy first day of Fall!

I feel like I have so much to update you guys on as far as my Health & Fitness journey goes! You can check out my previous updates HERE ,  HERE  & HERE

Okay so where to begin! For the past couple of months I have been going downhill! A lot of it has do to with personal issues that I will talk about in the future. I started my fitness journey January 2018 so I'm going on 2 years of trying to live a healthier & active lifestyle. I started off GREAT! I was on top of my game, worked out 5-6 times a week, was on a healthy eating kick, life was great! Lol but really.

After the first six months we took a trip to North Carolina and I had a little too much Bojanles! It's my fave! I still worked out but my eating wasn't too healthy. We stayed with my parents for a couple of months and then when we came back home to Texas I started back up with my healthy eating. January 2019 started off okay, I wasn't as motivated as I thought I would be. I created my own workout guide and was so pumped about it but I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it.

Eventually I got my motivation back and was doing the dang thing but like I said the last few months have been tough! I have been eating like crap! And y'all know I'm all about treat days but I was treating myself every.single.day! I haven't worked out in over a month so I've been all over the place. This is why it's called a "journey" because there's a lot of ups and downs.

Today was my first day back (to working out) and it felt so good to break a sweat! I saw a quote the other day on Pinterest that said "Don't be afraid to start over. This time you're not starting from scratch, you're starting from experience." And it was like the push that I needed.

It's okay to take a break as long as you don't give up. I was looking back on pictures from where I first started my fitness journey and I kept telling myself "if I would've just pushed myself, I would look so dang good by now!" haha but we live and we learn! The great thing about starting over this time around is that I know what works for me, I don't have to try to find diets or deprive myself from food. The biggest mistake I was making was not eating enough. I was afraid of food but not anymore girlfriend.

This time around I also plan on sharing my workouts more with you guys over on my Instagram so if you don't follow me be sure you do! I had a follower message me the other day and asked me when I would be sharing more fitness and she proceeded to tell me how I was the reason she started working out, she's a stay at home mom too and seeing me workout pushed here to start! Seeing these types of messages makes me so happy. You never really realize how you can impact someone else's life.

I am also starting to do Intermittent Fasting again. I will be doing a 16 hour fast & 8 hour eating period. If you haven't tried IF it's a great eating lifestyle. Of course be sure to consult with your doctor before starting. I was doing it about 6 months ago and noticed a huge difference in my body. I was less bloated, I wasn't going to sleep hungry, and I had so much energy.

Since today is the first day of Fall I will also be running a lot more while I still can before it starts to cool down. Running has helped me out so much, not only physically but also mentally. It's a great stress reliever!

There's a few things I've learned since I started my journey. One being to just love yourself through it. It's hard, y'all hear me say it all the time but the HARDEST part is starting. You will literally come with any and every excuse to not workout. Either you're too tired, which lets face it we're always going to be tired, you don't have enough time, you don't have anyone to watch your kids, you don't like lifting or running, and the list goes on! You don't have to workout because you want to lose weight, workout because you love yourself, because you want to live a healthy life, because (I sound like a broken record) we're not getting any younger.

And if you don't like going to the gym, guess what? There are TONS of at home workouts! I workout at home and I've seen great results. You don't need to spend 2 hours at the gym, but you can if that's what you like. Wake up 30 minutes before your kids do and get a 2o minute workout in. You don't like lifting or running? There is ALWAYS something for everyone. You can try boxing or Zumba, there's also Crossfit and cycling I mean literally there's a lot out there.

As far as eating better I'm still working on that lol I do want to include more veggies in my diet because I feel like I don't get enough in.

I'm sorry this post is kinda all over the place but I wanted to just talk about everything lol

Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog! It means the world to me!
