Happy Friday friends!

We made it to the weekend!

Okay so I'm just going to go ahead and jump right into this blog post because I'm trying to give you as much info as I can. As you can see I'm going to be sharing with y'all and updated HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR WITH A FLAT IRON, you can check out my previous one here

Before we get into the hair tutorial I want to give you kinda of like a what I do when I wash my hair. So I don't think I've ever talked about it but I suffer from dandruff, gross I know! Here's the thing, I've used Head and Shoulders for as long as I can remember and that helps keep it under control. If I decide to be spontaneous one day and try out a different shampoo, honey my hair gets BAD! So that's why I've been using the same shampoo forever! Lol I don't have any issues with using different conditioners though. But if you know any dandruff remedies, hit your girl up!

I wash my hair every other day. As most of you know I work out and sweat so dang much so I have to wash it often, if not I look crazy! Lol One of my favorite conditioners is this 3 Minute Miracle from Aussie! I've used it for years and leaves my hair so soft! Once I hop out of the shower I wrap it up in my towel and leave it there for about 10-15 minutes. **Once I take it out I brush my hair and apply this mousse! I have been using this for a couple of months now and love it! It's one of the products that I use to add volume to my hair. I bought it while it was on sale for $9! So if you want to try it out, I'd recommend waiting till on goes back on sale.

After that I let my hair air dry. I can't remember the last time I used a blow dryer and I think that's one of the main reasons why my hair isn't as damaged as it should be. Also in the last couple of weeks I've been getting hair color questions and truthfully I just showed my hair girl a picture lol Because I've been parting it in the middle it looks a bit different than before. I have an appointment in a few weeks so I'll share more info on color when I'm there.

**The next day.
I don't like clean hair curls lol they don't come out the same and they're a lot more idk flimsy! Y'all know we love dry shampoo around here so I try to curl my hair on second day hair. Also I tend to have frizzy hair, if you know of a product that helps with that let me know! lol Of course a lot of it has to do with me sweating so dang much! I would also say I have oily hair.

Okay so now to curling!
If you've been following me for a while you know I have always used a flat iron, I just find it easier. I do use a curling iron on third day hair (if I make it that long) just to freshen up my curls. I have added a few steps to my routine so that's why I'm sharing an updated version.

Prepping:
One thing I forgot to do was apply some dry shampoo! What was I thinking. I have been giving this one a try, and I'll have to say it's not my favorite but it gets the job done. After dry shampoo I add this heat protection shine spray. Finally I add a few sprays of this marula oil. It leaves my hair soo dang soft! *Also bought on sale for $9*

Getting started:
Once I've let those products sit in for about 3 minutes I go in and just quickly run the flat iron through my hair, just to well straighten it out a bit lol

Curling!
I always set my flat iron to 410 degrees, of course you don't have to do it that high, just depends on your hair. Another thing I've been doing differently is that instead of just clamping and straightening, I clamp, slide the flat iron down my hair just a bit, and then curl. Hope that made some sense. Before I would just clamp and curl and I would notice that it leaves a "crease" but now it looks more "natural". I leave about an inch or so of hair at the end so I don't fully bring the flat iron down. But you can if you want to and sometimes I do. Just depends on what I'm feeling that day.

Once I finish curling I add this volume blast spray! This spray has changed my freaking hair! It adds so much volume and smells so good! It's a bit pricey for me, the full size bottle is $30 so I just purchased the travel size ($15) and it's lasted me almost a month now. But hands down the best volume spray I've ever tried! I apply it to my roots and just massage it in and get it all up in there and you know what they say "the bigger the hair the closer to God". And it has become my holy grail!

If none of that made sense I have a tutorial up on my IG stories so if you don't follow me make sure you do! FOLLOW ME HERE! Because y'all know I'm so good at explaining things !haha

And now you should be left with gorgeous & voluminous curls! Telling you girl, that volume spray is the so good! By the time I was done with these pictures I was sweating! lol hence the frizz. You win some you lose some!

I hope y'all enjoyed this post and found it helpful! Thank you so much for stopping by & for continuing to support my blog, it truly means the world to me!
