7 Fitness Mistakes I Made

Monday, August 20, 2018

Happy Monday my lovely readers!

I hope your day is going good so far! Like every Monday, we went grocery shopping and made a quick stop at Target to pick up a few essentials. Now I'm prepping dinner. Please y'all! Send me some recipes, I think both my husband and I would appreciate it.

I have some super exciting news that I can't wait to share with y'all! But it'll have to be in a couple of weeks! I know, such a tease! Lol And no baby #2 is not the news! haha maybe in a couple of YEARS.

For today's post I wanted to share with y'all 7 Fitness Mistakes I Made, of course there is probably more but we'll leave it at 7. I always felt like I wasn't losing weight or showing results until about March or April, I saw pictures and realized my hard work was starting to pay off. Trust me, I know how it feels to not see any changes even though you're working your butt off! So I hope this post helps you out a little bit, and please know that sometimes I still make these mistakes. I hope y'all enjoy!

1) Not Eating Enough- You do NOT have to starve yourself to lose weight! First of all it's not healthy at all! So please don't let anyone tell you not to eat! #foodislife I am so GUILTY of this! When I first started my journey, I always felt like if I ate I was going to get fat, so I would only eat twice a day, I would go to sleep hungry and wake up even hungrier! Now I eat 3 meals a day and I also snack throughout the day! Hello improvement!

2) Eating Too Much- So this kinda goes back to number 1, you don't want to starve yourself but you also don't want to eat too much. And by this I mean getting extremely full, like when you're already a "good" full but then you see your child has a few nuggets left so you go for it and then end up feeling like crap lol maybe that's just me. But you get that point, listen to your body.

3) Not Drinking Enough Water- Again another one that I'm super guilty off! Y'all I would literally only drink maybe 2 bottles of water a day. That is not enough! Lol Once I started drinking more water, I noticed I started to shed some pounds and I felt a lot better. And I know it's hard to drink water, it taste like nothing but it's so good for you! Make it fun and make some infused water! It's so good, my favorite is strawberry/lemon water or just plain lemon water!

4) Not Having A Workout Plan- I love having a workout plan, it makes working out so much easier! I don't know about you, but I hate just "winging" it when it comes to my workout, it's hard enough to get up and do it, but to still have to figure out what I want to do! It's too much! So I ALWAYS  create my workout guide before the new month starts.

5) Push Yourself- I know we like to stay in our comfort zone, but if you're working out and doing the same things over and over, you're probably not going to see results. Withing the last couple of months I started to lift a little heavier, nothing crazy but I'm definitely pushing myself, and I can see and feel the results!

6) Working Out Too Much- Guilty! You don't want to do more than what your body can handle, baby steps! I promise it's worth it!

7) Punishing Yourself- I debated whether or not to share this one, but I'm hoping it could help someone out! I did this to myself, I would eat pizza for lunch and be so harsh on myself and say things like "you NEED to go burn it off", "you NEED to workout RIGHT NOW", "you're going to get fat", "stop being such a cow", etc. I'm sure you get the point. Please don't speak to yourself like that! It's okay to reward yourself some days, it's okay to enjoy your favorite meal, it's all about BALANCE.

I hope you enjoyed this post! And found it helpful! Please know that it's okay to take baby steps when it comes to your fitness journey. It'll be worth it at the end.
